We had the pleasure of serving CSCS at their Lion’s Heart Celebration this year! The event was on Jon’s birthday, and we later found out the Jon shares his birthday with Dr. Dobson! We truly enjoyed photographing the event at the Broadmoor and loved meeting and then getting to know Dr. & Mrs. Dobson during the interview portion of the event. It was a special evening that we’ll remember well.

Philip and Jen both serve in the Air Force and are living apart during much of their engagement, so we loved photographing their engagement portraits here in Colorado Springs during a weekend together! Lauren is an artistic, fashionable, athletic, and talented high school senior who had a great time with her session that we did over two different days. The first half of her session was in Cheyenne Canyon and featured her love of running; the second half of her high school senior pictures was in the modern setting of some of the buildings on Colorado College’s campus and outdoors on campus. She’s a piano player as well, and we were able to feature that talent of hers too!

Lauren…the end is in sight!! Enjoy all the celebrations of graduation!

Family Portraits at Garden of the Gods

Let’s celebrate a handful of great family photography sessions we did at Garden of the Gods the last part of 2011! As you might imagine, Garden of the Gods is one of our most popular locations for family portraits. It will always be the best location when views of Pikes Peak and the expanse of our mountain range are a priority for portraits, and we love the variety and beauty within. We are so thankful every time we are there that it’s preserved and protected for all to enjoy.

The Andrews Family experienced their first professional family session with us, and we loved their choice of purple as a great pop of color for their session. This is one proud dad, and he should be! His daughters are just beautiful!

The Boone Family did their session on a trip out to Colorado Springs to buy their house in preparation for their move here! Their precious daughter was just months old when they did their portraits. We’re glad they’ve safely arrived and gotten settled in Colorado.

The Byrum Family had a fun and festive session just before Christmas with us. They also have beautiful children and enjoyed exploring all over Garden of the Gods for their session.

The Frith Family recently moved here from Washington DC and wanted a portrait session to truly represent their new life in Colorado Springs. No better place for that than Garden of the Gods!

The Lindeman Family session not only featured the people in their family but also their adorable dog. We always welcome your four-legged family members in our sessions!

The Trevino session was all about their active, adventurous boys! These brothers loved exploring, climbing, and just being boys during their session.

The Rice Family had a blast on their session! Their kids obviously have fun together, and there’s a lot of love and laughs to go around! We’re excited to see some of their family again for a “three generations” session next month!

The Yount Family returned to us for a family session before being re-stationed to Georgia with the military. It’s amazing how much their kids had grown up in just a year since we had last photographed them! We were thrilled to have them back and give them iconic portraits to celebrate their time here.

Kendall | Palmer High School Senior Portraits | Class of 2012

Kendall is about to finish his high school career and graduate from Palmer High School. He plans to attend Gonzaga University in Washington State and study engineering. He loves water sports and wrestling and was very excited for an urban session for his high school senior portraits. Congratulations, Kendall, on your upcoming graduation!

David’s family found us through our Groupon Deal late last summer and used it for David’s high school senior photography session. They chose Garden of the Gods as the location for his session for a natural, outdoors setting with mountain views. David is a runner, both track and cross country, and enjoys skiing too. He’s happy, funny, and energetic, and plans to go into architecture or construction management. Best wishes to you, David, as high school comes to an end and the next chapter in life begins!

Ryan loves basketball and chose Cottonwood Creek Park for his senior session. He’s described as funny, crazy, and confident and plans to pursue a military career. Let’s celebrate the coming of spring and all the new leaves on trees and flowers blooming with a “shout-out” to the winter weather that should be completely behind us now! Jordan & Martha’s engagement session was back in February on a cold, snowy, and wintry day, and it’s always fun to have an adventurous couple to have romantic and fun portraits in the snow. They were newly engaged on New Year’s Eve and are having their wedding in Texas this next month and then moving to Miami. Grace | Falcon High School Senior Portraits | Class of 2012

We just love Grace’s family and have so enjoyed getting to know all of them over the years. We first met them when Grace’s older sister chose us for her wedding photography. We next photographed Grace’s brother for his senior pictures. And then we photographed Grace’s first niece (her sister’s first baby) for her first year of milestones. And now we’ve photographed Grace for her senior portraits! We so appreciate and value our families who continue to choose us for the important moments and milestones in the life of their families. Truly one of our highest compliments!

Grace is artsy, fun, and unique, so exploring Manitou Springs was perfect for her session! We also spent time at Garden of the Gods for natural, beautiful, Colorado portraits.
