Fall/Spring Class: Photography 101
Instructor: Jonathan Betz
Over the 6-week course, the core foundations of photography will be covered by combination of instruction and practical application using manual exposure and focusing on understanding and use of light. Participants will learn how to set up and use off-camera light/flash and the use of reflectors.
This is a perfect class for someone who wants to take their photography to the next level.
Upon completion of the course, participants will have gained a solid foundation of photography skills and knowledge of light in order to continue their study and development of photography and light. Questions and interaction with the instructors are expected and encouraged. This course is well-suited for beginners through advanced amateurs.
This class will meet for 2-2.5 hours once a week for 6 consecutive weeks. Time & day of week will be determined by availability of the participants and the instructor. This class generally starts in October; however, based on demand, we add a Spring Session typically in April.

Winter Class: Post-Production “The Digital Darkroom”
Instructors: Jonathan & Lindsay Betz
Over the 4-week course, areas of digital post-production including workflow of how to organize your images on your computer; image refinement and retouching within Photoshop; adjusting color, contrast and sharpening; building custom spreads for albums/cards/products; and the best way to archive your images will be covered. This is a perfect class for someone who wants learn what goes on behind the scenes after the photo shoot.
A laptop with Photoshop software is strongly recommended for this course. Upon completion of the course, participants will have gained increased understanding of the post-production process and have a designated workflow personalized to each participant. Questions and interaction with the instructors are expected and encouraged. This course is well-suited for beginners through advanced amateurs. Anyone who needs help in post-production for portraits will benefit!
